WALES — Senior point guard Darby Beaulieu tossed an impressive 18 points to lead Oak Hill to a 48-39 victory over Mt. View in KVAC girls’ basketball action Friday.

The Raiders (2-7) ran off a good first half, leading 25-11 at the midpoint. Freshman guard Sadie Goulet chipped in with 10 points.

Oak Hill lost momentum in the second half as Mt. View got as close as six points down the stretch.

Freshman center Anna Piotti paced the Mustangs (0-9) with 15 points on six field goals and three from the charity stripe.

Rangeley 54, Greenville 31

GREENVILLE — The Rangeley defense put the clamps down in the third quarter holding Greenville to only four points and cruised to a convincing 54-31 victory Friday.

Leading 25-17 at the half, the visiting Lakers (7-1) outscored Greenville 13-4 to pull away for the victory. Chantal Carrier poured in a game high 16 points for Rangeley. The senior also had six boards and three assists. Freshman Taylor Esty added 14 points while grabbing a 15 rebounds.

Jenney Abbott hauled down 11 rebounds and tossing in nine points for Rangeley. Miranda Drinkwater led Greenville (3-4) with 14 points.

Mt. Blue 58, Brunswick 32

FARMINGTON — Gabby Foye registered eight of her game high 28 points in the first quarter to help propel Mt. Blue to a 58-32 victory over Brunsiwick in girls’ Class A basketball action.

Mt. Blue moved the ball well and got Foye the ball in the 17-5 first quarter. The junior sank four 3-point baskets and hauled down five rebounds. Corrine Dingley followed with nine points and five boards for the Cougars (5-3). Miranda Nicely chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.

Mel Bryant paced the Dragons (4-5) with 10 points.

Edward Little 53, Brewer 49

BREWER — Junior guard Ashlee Arnold drained 20 points to lead Edward Little to a 53-49 victory over Brewer.

The Red Eddies (6-2) got off to a hot start with an 11-4 first quarter showing. Crissy Lewis and Kory Norcross recorded 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Witches (2-6) closed to within three points in the fourth quarter, but just couldn’t seal the deal. Senior forward Deaven Smith posted a team-high 17 points, while Lindsay Houp tossed four field goals for 10 points in the losing effort.

Leavitt 77, Belfast 47

TURNER — Kristen Anderson recorded a triple-double of 25 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to spark Leavitt to a 77-47 victory over Belfast on Friday.

After leading 20-13 after one quarter, the Hornets (8-1) turned up the pressure and opened up a 40-25 advantage by halftime.

Adrianna Newton chipped in with a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Sarah Frost scored a career-high 15 points.

Catrina Laphan led Belfast (3-6) with 12 points and Emily Blair added 10.

Nokomis 51, Morse 45

BATH — Kylie Richards recorded a team-high 11 points as Nokomis pulled away in the final quarter for a 51-45 triumph over Morse in girls’ basketball action Friday.

The Warriors picked up the tempo in the second half. Anna Mackenzie chipped in with four field goals and two free throws for 10 points for Nokomis.

Katie Henrikson tabulated a game-high 15 points on five field goals, including three from 3-point range, and a pair of free throws for the Shipbuilders (3-5).

Kerry Cummings also had a double digit scoring effort with 12 points on four field goals and four free throws in the losing effort.

Hampden 48, Lewiston 36

HAMPDEN — Ashley Danforth notched a game-high 23 points to lead Hampden Academy to a 48-36 victory over Lewiston in KVAC girls’ basketball action Friday.

The winless Blue Devils (0-8) were up 23-20 at the half. But, the Broncos (4-4) came bucking back with a 13-5 third quarter, and did not give up any ground on their way to the final buzzer.

Sophomore guard Jenessa Talarico posted fifty-percent plus one of Lewiston’s scoring effort with 19 points on seven field goals and two free throws, including three treys.

Oxford Hills 50, Lawrence 33

FAIRFIELD — Oxford Hills erased a one point half-time deficit to outscore Lawrence 33-15 in the second half to cruise to a 50-33 triumph over Lawrence.

Oxford Hills used a strong third quarter outscoring the Bulldogs 21-6 to take the lead for good. Abbie Eastman poured in a game high 15 points while dishing out seven assists for the Vikings (4-4). Ashley and Crystal West each had nine and seven points respectively. Danielle Spaulding paced Lawrence (1-7) with nine points.
