STEPHENSON, Va. — The wedding of Laura E. Thompson and Chad R. Soule was held at 6 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Historic Jordan Springs in Stephenson, Va. Father Santore officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Soule is the daughter of Laurence and Sharon Thompson of Romney, W. Va. Mr. Soule is the son of Sue Cloutier of Sears, Mich.

The bride wore a strapless gown with sweetheart shaped neckline and silk charmeuse accent on the bust and back neckline. The mermaid silhouette gown had Swarovski crystals, rhinestones and sequin bead work and embroidery sewn onto netting over satin lining with covered buttons on the back bodice.

Amanda Allen was honor attendant for her friend. Bridesmaids were Erica Soule, sister of the bridegroom, and Jen White, friend. Alexis and Mercedes Ravenscroft, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.

Serving as best man was Ryan Dionne, friend. Ushers were K.C. Scothorn and Bill White, friends. Ridge Dionne, godson of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Historic Jordan Springs, after which the couple went on a seven-day cruise to the Caribbean on the Allure of the Seas cruise ship. They are residing in Winchester, Va.

The bride is a graduate of Hampshire High School in West Virginia. She graduated in 2006 from Shepherd University with a bachelor’s degree in business. She is employed as a quality assurance specialist at American Background Inc.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Lewiston High School and is employed at H.P. Hood LLC in Winchester, Va.
