NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank announces that it recently welcomed William White as its newest vice president, personal and small business development officer. White works in the bank’s office in Bethel.
White has spent the majority of his career in the Bethel and Oxford Hills area. He is a previous general manager of operations at the Bethel Inn and Country Club, and is also a previous owner and manager of the Sudbury Inn in Bethel.
In addition to his hotel management experience, White has also served as a business consultant. He worked with Community Concepts in South Paris to help research and underwrite loan proposals, as well as help the organization’s clients with developing business plans.
In his new role at Norway Savings Bank, White will be responsible for developing new banking relationships in the greater Bethel area.
White earned a bachelor of science degree in hotel administration from the University of New Hampshire. During the past decade, he has been an active member of the Bethel Chamber of Commerce, holding the positions of treasurer, vice president and president. He currently serves at the vice chairman of the Maine Community Foundation’s Oxford County Advisory Board and is a corporator of Norway Savings Bank.
