Thirteen of Sam’s Italian Foods restaurants, headquartered in Lewiston, participated in fundraising for local food pantries throughout the month of November. By asking their customers if they would like to donate $1 toward ending hunger they raised $4,000. The top fundraising shops were in Brunswick and Waterville. Locally St. Mary’s Health Systems Food Pantry was the recipient of a check for $1,730.
