LEWISTON — Owner and operator Teresa Foster and her husband, Chris, opened Top of the Dog at 940 Lisbon St. with the idea of keeping things simple while offering a unique kind of hot dog joint.

The Fosters have more than 10 years of experience at working in and managing restaurants. Their aim was to provide good food at a good price in a clean and casual atmosphere. The menu lists “Top Dogs” and “Daily Dogs,” with the classic “Mainah” red dog also available. Winter hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; closed Sunday.
