Administrator’s Message

Greetings!

With a nip in the air and a way-too-early snowstorm, we are gearing up for the holiday activities here in the River Valley. On Friday, December 2, the Christmas in the Valley parade will start the CITV festivities at 6 p.m. The parade will travel from Mountain Valley High School to the end of Congress St. for the tree lighting ceremony with Santa and then to the Rumford Fire Station for a chance to have pictures taken with Santa and some goodies for the kids. If you are interested in entering a float in the parade, whether a business, nonprofit or any organization, please contact me at 364-3241 or [email protected]. The next day, Saturday, December 3, is the highly anticipated CITV Craft Fair taking place at Mountain Valley High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Not only will it feature many exciting crafts, it will also have the famous cookie walk, pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Frosty, the Chinese Auctions and much more. It’s the place to be on December 3. See you there!

Susan Atwood, from the Wilson Lake Inn, one of our many Chamber members, would like to share the new VBrochure on their facebook page. Use the link www.facebook.com/WilsonlakeInn?sk=app110205312345813. You can click on the tabs across the top (Accommodations, Experience, Meeting & Functions). Each will have a variety of photos and will show the beauty of the area around the Inn. This is a beautiful spot in the River Valley.

The Blue Moose General Store & Campground in Carthage has come under new ownership. The River valley Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon cutting ceremony there on October 28. Please come and say hi to the new owners, Christine and Teresa Cedrone.

If you would like to join the River Valley Chamber of Commerce or would like to discuss the great benefits that go along with being a member of the Chamber, once again please call or email me and I would love to share that information with you.

From my office behind Paul Bunyan,

thanks for your time.

Peter Perry, Administrator RVCC
