Work to stabilize one of two historic archway entrances at the Elm Vale Cemetery on Sweden Road in Waterford is continuing. James Long of James M. Long and Sons of Waterford, has been working the past several weeks to repair rotted bases on the south entrance. It is one of two late 19th-century entrances that measure about 23 to 28 feet tall. Cribbing has been put under the archway for support while the work is done.
