FARMINGTON — Michael P. Joseph, MD, FACS, will provide ear, nose and throat specialty services at the new Franklin Health Ear, Nose and Throat beginning April 16.

It will be a program of Franklin Memorial Hospital.

The announcement was made by Rebecca Ryder, Franklin Memorial Hospital president/CEO.

The medical practice will be at 105 Mt. Blue Circle, Suite 2, in Farmington, which is one-fourth mile west of the hospital on Routes 2 and 4. Dr. Joseph will additionally see patients at the Androscoggin Valley Medical Arts Center at 21 Main St. in Livermore Falls.

Dr. Michael Joseph is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His professional interests are vast and include traumatic optic neuropathy, facial pain, skull base surgery, and sinus infections and headaches, among others.

Dr. Joseph does not do allergy evaluations or injections. These patients should seek the care of an allergist/immunologist.

Dr. Joseph received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed two residencies: first a two-year surgical residency at New England Deaconess Hospital and an otolaryngology residency at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, both in Boston. For 15 years, Dr. Joseph practiced at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary before going into private practice.

He also had academic appointments at the Harvard Medical School’s Department of Otology and Laryngology from 1981-1997. Most recently, Dr. Joseph provided ENT services at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
