AUBURN — Mary Louise Anita LaRose Felker, 76, of Poland, died Sunday, March 11, at the Hospice House, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Auburn, April 16, 1935, the daughter of Ralph and Louise Hamel LaRose. She attended schools in Mechanic Falls and had been a homemaker all of her life. She married Raymond H. Felker. They shared 52 wonderful years.
She loved gardening and camping in Bar Harbor, especially during blueberry season. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, blueberry picking and picking apples. She loved to be outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, who has cared for her at home for the past 20 years; four sons, Mark Wing of Auburn, Kerry Felker of Freeport, Ralph Felker of Poland and Raymond Felker Jr. of Limerick; a daughter, Linda L. Sawyer of Mechanic Falls; a sister, Rita Benedix of Orlando, Fla.; many grandchildren, including special grandson, Tory; and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Rene Nadeau and Grant LaRose; and two sisters, Pauline Richardson and Eva Coffin.
The family wishes to thank the staff at CMMC, M1 and Dr. Coleman for his comfort and care. Also the staff at the Hospice House and her loving homecare aides, Cindy and Ciara.
