AUBURN — Dominique Herman went 3-for-4 and Taylor Fillion drove in four runs as Central Maine Community College earned a weekend sweep over Vermont Tech with a 17-3 victory in college softball action that was called after five innings on a rainy Sunday.

CMCC (3-0) pounded out nine hits, including doubles by Herman, Candace Hall and Jordan Brasier. Hall also picked up the win on the mound, yielding just one hit and three unearned runs. She struck out six and walked five.
