AUBURN — Mechanics Savings Bank announces the appointment of Nancy Richard to assistant vice president, retail lending officer.

She is responsible for growing retail mortgage and consumer lending in the surrounding markets. In her new role, she will be reaching out to the real estate broker community to build a partnership with Mechanics Savings Bank.

With more than 20 years experience in lending, she excels in creating a collaborative relationship with her customers.

She is an active member of the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary International Club and the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce, and sits on the Mechanic Falls Town Council and Androscoggin County budget group.

Prior to joining Mechanics Savings Bank, Richard was the branch manager at Community Credit Union in Auburn. Previously, she held the positions of retail loan officer and branch manager at Camden National Bank in Lewiston. During her 10-year tenure with Camden, she also served the Portland and Southern Maine markets.

Before moving to the Twin Cities, Richard was employed by United Kingfield Bank, (formerly known as Kingfield Bank) in Franklin County for 14 years. There, she held a number of positions, with a strong focus on mortgage lending.

Richard attended Babson University in Wellesley, Mass., Northern New England School of Banking and Thomas College. She has completed numerous AIB and CFT courses.

She and her husband of 34 years reside in Mechanic Falls. They have one adult daughter and two grandchildren.
