LEWISTON — A Lewiston man seriously injured himself while breaking an apartment window Sunday evening, police said.
Scott Kramarz, 39, of 280 Lincoln St., was taken to a Lewiston hospital after emergency crews were called to the alley behind the Franco-American Heritage Center on Cedar Street. Lewiston Police Lt. Marc Robitaille said United Ambulance called police shortly after 6 p.m. after discovering Kramarz in the alley with a significant cut on his arm. He had lost a lot of blood.
Robitaille said that investigating officers learned that Kramarz, who was intoxicated, attempted to break into a second-floor apartment at 195 Lincoln St. by breaking a window with his fist. He said Kramarz knew the person who lived there, but was unclear on their relationship or why Kramarz was trying to break into the apartment.
The case remained under investigation Sunday night.
