WINTHROP — The Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce will hold a breakfast meeting May 3 at the Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union at Route 202 and Highland Avenue.

The cost is $5 per person, to be paid at the door. A light breakfast will be provided beginning at 7:15 a.m. and the meeting will start at 7:30 a.m., ending promptly at 8:30 a.m. The meeting, which is sponsored by Brian S. Berry & Associates, CPAs, is open to the public. No reservations are required.

Jaimie Logan of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development and former chamber executive director will discuss several recent changes within DECD and state government designed to improve and streamline service to small businesses.

With more than 16 years of leadership experience, Logan has an extensive background in assisting businesses with goal-setting, marketing strategies and management, particularly in the tourism and hospitality sectors. Her background and training have given her valuable skills to assist in identifying and analyzing business issues and developing strategies to help meet business goals.
