LEWISTON — More than 150 people attended the third annual SeniorsPlus ChocoLArt event April 1, where 10 chocolate vendors competed for top honors in their field.

Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center of Lewiston won the judge’s Choice Award. Russell Park also won the Best Display Award and the coveted People’s Choice Award. The Hilton Garden Inn, Auburn Riverwatch, won the judge’s Best Use of Chocolate Award.

The event at the Hilton Garden Inn was a fundraiser for SeniorsPlus and the proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels and other SeniorsPlus programs. The afternoon included chocolate sampling, music by Three Point Jazz Trio and an extensive display of photography, art, crafted items, pottery and jewelry from local artisans for auction.

Other vendors at the event included Ahimsa Custom Cakes from Auburn, The Bankery Bakery from Skowhegan, The Bread Shack from Auburn, CMCC Culinary Arts of Auburn, Heather’s Bakery of Mechanic Falls, Maine Gourmet and Coastal Cookies of Lewiston, Mingo Chocolates from New Gloucester and Rolly’s Diner and Catering from Auburn.
