FARMINGTON — Rebecca Ryder, Franklin Memorial Hospital president, announces that Daniel C. Doornbos, MD, FCCP, has joined the organization as a consulting staff member in pulmonology.

Dr. Doornbos will be caring for patients every other Thursday at the Androscoggin Valley Medical Arts Center in Livermore Falls. Appointments are available when he sees patients there again on May 3 and thereafter.

Dr. Doornbos’s clinical interests within pulmonary medicine include cough, vocal cord dysfunction, cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Dr. Doornbos specializes in outpatient pulmonary medicine and critical care. He also sees patients at MaineGeneral Medical Center’s Thayer Campus in Waterville, where he works in the Pulmonary Clinic.

Dr. Doornbos completed his medical degree at University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City and Wichita, Kansas, and a residency in internal medicine at University of Vermont/Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington. That was followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

The Androscoggin Valley Medical Arts Center is at 21 Main St. in Livermore Falls. The center is owned by Franklin Memorial Hospital. Health care services provided include primary and outpatient specialty care, as well as lab, X-ray, digital mammography and ultrasound services. For appointments, call 897-6601.
