The driver of this 2000 Dodge pickup truck, Jacob A. Gagne, 28, of Otisfield, was traveling east on Pleasant Street (Route 121) at 4 a.m. Saturday in Oxford when he dropped his cigarette in his lap, became distracted and lost control, Oxford police Sgt. Rickie Jack said. The truck crossed the opposite lane and struck an embankment, continued on and struck a stone wall and flipped onto the driver’s side in a ditch, Jack said. Gagne crawled out of the truck, which was damaged beyond repair, he said. Gagne complained of wrist while pain.
