AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer “ABCs of Accounting for Small Businesses” next month.

Classes will be held three consecutive Tuesdays, May 22 through June 5, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $159 and includes materials.

The course is designed to give the small business owner a “real-life” understanding of the financial side of business, including basic accounting, financial statements, taxes, budgets, forecasts and cash flow. It is a prerequisite for the QuickBooks course that begins in mid-June.

The noncredit course is open to anyone currently in business or who is considering starting a business. Registration is open and ongoing, however space is limited.
