AUBURN — Clyde Bergemann Auburn, formerly Bachmann Industries, the air-gas handling division of Clyde Bergemann Power Group Americas, has expanded its engineering, project management and sales departments to support its increasing business in the global power equipment industry.
Project Manager Nat Salfas is responsible for managing large scale projects through all stages of development and implementation, from kickoff and specification review through engineering, production and delivery of industrial equipment to destinations around the world.
Salfas is a Maine registered architect with extensive expertise in designing and managing large projects. His previous work as an architectural consultant, senior architect at Platz Associates and project manager for the state of Maine included development projects in a wide range of commercial and public facilities.
Salfas has bachelor’s degrees in architecture and fine arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and Middlebury College.
Applications engineer Scott Owings comes to the company with a broad range of business development and contracting experience in engineering, industrial and international business settings. He previously worked in sales and marketing for Outsource Works in Lewiston, WorldWide Language Resources in Rumford, and Tyco Electronics in Harrisburg, Pa.
Owings is responsible for pre-contract technical support for existing and new customers and applications. He is involved in communicating directly with customers and representatives on technical product specifications, product selection, system design, reliability, quality and manufacturing processes.
Owings received a bachelor’s degree from Norwich University and a master’s in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Designer/drafter Shauna Little creates quality design solutions and drawing/document packages. She works as part of a team of project managers, project engineers, and other designer/drafters. Little’s background includes computer-aided design as well as experience in business operations. She comes to the company from BKM Total Office where she was a junior engineer and CAD designer. She earned an associate degree in applied science, architectural and engineering design from Southern Maine Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Norwich University.
Design engineer Justin Dodd is a member of a team engaged in all project stages, from project kickoff and specification review through final design, fabrication and equipment shipment to global customers. Prior to joining Clyde Bergemann Auburn, Dodd was a senior designer for Alstom Power in Windsor, Conn. His experience encompasses accomplishments in computer-aided design, control systems, and mechanical design in the power generation equipment industry.
He received an associate degree in mechanical engineering technology and a bachelor’s degree in electromechanical engineering technology from Vermont Technical College.
Clyde Bergemann Auburn is a global engineering company focusing on high-performance clean energy solutions for power, utility, petrochemical, and industrial applications.
