WAYNE — On Sunday, May 20, the Cary Memorial Library will present an evening of eclectic music at the Ladd Center.
The University of Maine at Augusta’s vocal ensemble Envok will sing classic American songs in five-part harmony; and steel drum band Mad Anthony’s Pan Handlers will provide Caribbean sounds. The Camp Band, made up of local musicians Chris Cushman, Pam Green and Al and Marlene Sinyard, will present a set of Celtic and traditional country music.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with a variety of homemade soups and desserts available. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. at the Ladd Center at 26 Gott Road. Tickets are $8, $5 for students and children; $20 per family. Proceeds will benefit the Cary Memorial Library.
Tickets are available at the library, 17 Old Winthrop Road, during regular hours and at the Wayne General Store in the downtown. They will also be sold at the door. For more information, call 685-3612 .
