HARTFORD — Selectmen are inviting residents to step forward to help clean the Town Hall before a public hearing June 5.
Volunteers are asked to call the town office.
Maintenance worker Bob Berry is hospitalized and not expected to be able to do the work, the board reported at its meeting Thursday night.
The hall needs to be prepared for the 7 p.m. hearing June 5 on the annual town meeting warrant. Selectman Lee Holman said there are ordinances on the warrant to be explained. One is discontinuance of parts of Gurney Hill and Darrington roads.
Other issues on the warrant are relocating the transfer station and changing the road commissioner’s position from elected to appointed.
The board did final preparations on the warrant for the annual town meeting at 7 p.m. June 24 at the Town Hall. Selectmen chose a cover and a dedication Thursday night.
They also reviewed a report from the code enforcement officer on the addition of a front porch on on Brook Drive, a mobile home on Town Farm Road and a roof over a deck on West cove Road.
The also approved a recording device for the Planning Board.
