DIXFIELD — The RSU 10 board welcomed three new members at Monday night’s meeting.
Lolisa Windover replaced longtime Peru representative Jessica Hine; Shawn White of Hartford took over for Armand Rowe; and Faith Campbell replaced longtime Canton representative Cynthia Bissell, who is moving from the area.
The board also approved a revenue anticipation note from Androscoggin Bank for up to $4 million at an interest rate of 0.92 percent.
Superintendent Tom Ward said some of the approved money is needed to meet payroll during the summer months. The amount approved this year is higher than in the past because the district no longer has carryover money from the three districts (SADs 43, 21 and 39) that merged into RSU 10 three years ago.
He said the RAN funds are never used during the school year. Last year, the district used $2.1 million of the $2.6 million that was approved.
In other matters, the board accepted the resignation of longtime Dirigo Elementary School music teacher Michelle Chick, granted a medical leave for Dirigo High School teacher Michele Araujo and appointed several coaches.
The board will meet July 9 to continue discussion on the use and reuse of the district’s 10 school buildings.
