SUMNER — The store at the corner of Route 219 and Greenwoods Road will open Monday under new ownership.

Corrado Buccheri, a former commercial fisherman and auto body shop owner from Gloucester, Mass., said he plans to sell fresh seafood, have a once-a-month clambake and host a local farmers market a few days a week.

This is his first venture as a store owner, the Black Mountain Road resident said.

In addition to seafood, the store will have groceries, beer, wine and soda, Buccheri said. A small cafe will serve breakfast and lunch during the week and dinners on weekends.

The monthly clambakes will be offered through ticket purchases.

Buccheri said he plans to host a farmers market offering fresh, local produce a few days a week.

The store’s gas pumps are ready, he said.

The store will open Monday, July 1, with a grand opening Sunday, July 15.
