LEWISTON — Patricia J. Rogers, 79, of Bowdoin, died Wednesday, June 27, at Marshwood Nursing Center.

Patricia was born in Brunswick on Nov. 21, 1932, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret (Jean) Carter. She attended Brunswick schools and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1950.

In her early years, she was employed at Prout’s Farm in Bowdoinham. She later worked at Grumbacher/J. Brush Co. for 20 years and retired from there. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lisbon Falls, the Carter’s Corner Cackle Club of Bowdoin and enjoyed dancing, arts and crafts, shopping and antiquing.

Patricia’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed holding family gatherings and summer cookouts by the pool and will forever be remembered for her Sunday dinners and traditional holiday celebrations.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Rogers; and a brother, Kenneth Carter Jr.

Surviving are her son, Mark and his wife, Brenda Rogers of Bowdoin; two daughters, Linda Rogers Baldiga and her husband, Lawrence of Lisbon Falls and Pamela Dickey Dwinal and her husband, Paul of Bowdoin; five grandchildren, Lisa and David Rogers, Megan Dickey, Marissa Dwinal and Jessica Rogers-Millson and her husband, James; and six great-grandchildren, Savannah Nichols, Nicholas and Derek Rogers and Benjamin, Daniel and Audrey Jo Millson.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers at Marshwood Center for the care they offered to Patricia and her family during Patricia’s five years spent there.
