LIVERMORE FALLS — Police responded to several complaints Friday night due to fireworks being set off in the Wheeler Street area.

There were five complaints that began at 10:21 p.m. with the last complaint coming in at 10:40 p.m.

Police responded to where the fireworks were being set off.

Police could not do anything about the fireworks because what was being set off is legal in Maine now, he said.

Residents expressed concerns about the noise and sparks from the fireworks, which could have landed on their property, Steward said.
