AUBURN — Police have identified two people who died in fiery car crash in Auburn, Maine, this week.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash early Tuesday to find a 1992 Lexus fully engulfed in flames in the middle of the street. Police say the vehicle left the road, struck a tree and rolled several times before bursting into flames.

The victims have been identified as 21-year-old Logan Pleau-Frangoulis and 22-year-old Stephen Pessant. Both were from Auburn. They were in Pleau-Frangoulis’ two-door sedan.

The crash remains under investigation.
