DIXFIELD — Two people were injured Saturday night when a black pickup broke through a guardrail on Canton Point Road, snapped a utility pole and landed in a pasture 60 to 70 feet down an embankment, a fire official said.
Dixfield Fire Company Chief Scott Dennett said a female driver and a male passenger were taken to hospitals in Lewiston and Rumford with injuries suffered in the crash that occurred at about 10 p.m.
Police did not identify the victims, whose injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
