Kianna Lessard, 4, of Lewiston helps her mother select broccoli from Valley View Farm during the Lewiston Farmers Market on Sunday. “It’s a tradition for some people to come to the market each week,” Scott Jillson of Jillson’s Farm said. “We see a lot of the same faces every Sunday.” The Sabattus farmer sets up a stand at six different farm markets each week, mostly in southern Maine. “(Lewiston) is becoming one of our busiest markets,” Jillson said, and is a big plus for the city. The market is held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of Main and Lincoln streets.
