DIXFIELD — A couple was taken to separate hospitals following a single-vehicle crash on Canton Point Road on Saturday night.
Driver Matthew Pelletier, 36, of Mexico was taken to Central Maine Medical Center following the 10 p.m. crash, and remained there Sunday night in fair condition.
His wife, 34-year-old Michelle Pelletier, was taken Rumford Hospital. Both were considered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officer Ann Edmonds of the Dixfield Police Department said Sunday the crash remained under investigation. The couple was driving on Canton Point Road when their pickup broke through a guardrail, snapped a utility pole and landed in a pasture down an embankment.
