Washburn Elementary School of Auburn held its fourth annual Family Fun Day recently. Community Credit Union adopted Washburn School in 2008. For the past four years, the credit union has donated a new bike and helmet for a deserving student in each grade level, kindergarten through six. Recipients and criteria were: kindergarten: Autumn Michaud, outstanding behavior; first grade, Riyaone Hussein, completing reading logs each week; second grade, Conner LaVigne, doing homework and having positive behavior; third grade, Seth Hicks, completing math and reading logs; fourth grade, Rhiannon LaChance, good behavior and completion of math and reading logs; fifth grade, Hailey Sontag, completing homework and being respectful in the classroom; and sixth grade, Kaitlyn St. Amand, being a positive member of the classroom and good behavior.
