DIXFIELD — Nomination papers for selectman are available at the Town Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Sept. 21.

Anyone who wishes to run for the nearly one year remaining on Katherine Harvey’s term must gather the signatures of at least 25 registered voters in town and turn them in by 4 p.m. Sept. 21.

Harvey resigned this month because she is moving out of town.

Town Office Assistant Clerk Theresa Hemingway said Wednesday that two residents have taken out papers. They are former Selectman Norine Clarke and Planning Board member Norman Mitchell.

Voters will elect a selectman Nov. 6 at the polls at the American Legion Hall. That person will serve until next June.

Other members of the board are Chairman Malcolm Gill, Hart Daley, Scott Belskis and Robert Withrow.
