PARIS — Selectmen will return to discussing the Road Committee and a fireworks ordinance at Monday’s meeting.

The board is set to discuss fireworks rules for the town to add to a proposed fireworks ordinance. At a meeting in July, police Chief David Verrier reported that his department had received 30 fireworks complaints since May.

The board will work to create a role for the Road Committee, now that the selectmen have approved a 10-year road plan created by Town Manager Phil Tarr and Highway Foreman Dan Nowell.

The board will also hold an executive session to discuss Tarr’s contract. The board opted not to renew his contract at the end of the year, and after the Aug. 13 meeting, Chairman Sam Elliot said the board may be looking for an even earlier exit for Tarr.
