LEWISTON — The works of two Maine photographers are on display at the Central Maine Medical Center Woman’s Hospital Association Rotating Art Gallery through Sept. 29.
Andrea Segars, a self-taught photographer, began taking photographs avidly about 15 years ago, mainly of landscapes, wildlife and nature. She enjoys capturing the natural beauty of Maine.
In June 2010 she took her passion for photography and turned it into a career when she started Andrea Segars Photography.
Arlene McConnell, also a self-taught photographer, says she “loves to document time as it occurs in order to reflect on the good of times for others, as well as herself.”
Most of her work is done around her hometown of Lewiston and Auburn where she grew up, though she resides in Topsham and “documents around town, and the surrounding towns.” She is a “silent member” of the First Light Camera Club of Brunswick and currently has a display at Roger’s Insurance in Lisbon.
Some of the works on display at CMMC may be purchased through the WHA Gift Shop, located adjacent to the Main Lobby. A percentage of sale proceeds benefit CMMC.
