JAY — The Jay Historical Society has canceled this year’s annual open house scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8, due to a forecast of rain, scheduling conflicts and limited availability of the homestead tours.

Only one room of the homestead is available for tours because of the need to replace several beams in the underpinning of the main house, according to society President Dot White.

The Jay Historical Society invites everyone to attend the Aug. 10, 2013, annual open house.
