PARIS — Selectmen are set to discuss Monday how the town will proceed in the interim between the expected early exit of Town Manager Phil Tarr and the hiring of a new town manager.
Selectmen and Tarr have been in discussion on a separation agreement that would end his employment with the town before his contractual end in January. On Monday’s agenda, selectmen are set to discuss an exit audit after his last day and will consider appointing an interim town manager as well as a tax collector, treasurer and road commissioner, all duties that Tarr currently performs.
Monday is also the due date for applications to replace Tarr as Paris Town Manager. Town Clerk Elizabeth Knox said the town has received an “extensive” number of applications for the position. The board is set to discuss dates for the hiring process.
Selectmen are also set to discuss the police merger, which residents rejected last month, as well as the amusement ordinance and traffic ordinance. The board meets at 7 p.m. Monday at the Paris Town Office.
