Pamela Jo Ellis of Rangeley was the recipient of the Second Festival Prize at the WCSH-6 Portland Art Festival held Aug. 25 on Congress Street in Portland. Three hundred artists from all over New England participated in the day-long festival. Ellis’ winning painting was a five-inch by five-inch watercolor titled “Lakesky Fractal,” which depicts Rangeley Lake and Bald Mountain from the east shore, with the waves sending spray up against a dock and rock jetty and fair weather clouds in the background. This is the second time Ellis has received a prize at the festival.
