LISBON —  Abigail Roy, a member of the Lisbon High School Class of 2014 and president of the school’s Interact Club, along with her mom, Heidi Coulombe, and fellow young adult volunteers, Ryder Morlock and Tabby Riendeau, recently presented Community Resource Manager Myra Warner of the Ronald McDonald House in Portland a check for $100 and a donation of several pounds of aluminum can tabs collected from school, community and Lewiston-Auburn Rotary donations.

“Please know you have touched all of our hearts with this most thoughtful donation in support of Ronald McDonald House children and families,” Robin Chibroski, RMH executive director, said.

The donation from the Interact Club was made possible through an award presented to the group by the WCSH6 Teens Who Care $2,000 Award. Students were able to support 11 different nonprofit agencies through that award.

Collections of aluminum can tabs will continue as a 2012-13 community service project for Interact. Donations can be left at any of the Lisbon schools or by calling 754.0021. For more information, email [email protected]
