AUBURN — Marie S. Norgren, 81, of 17 Bull Run Road, Greene, and formerly of 300 East Ave., Lewiston, died Monday, Sept. 17, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Services.
She was born in Purchase, N.Y., May 30, 1931, the daughter of Vito and Catherine Girillo Sgobbo. She gradutaed from high school in White Plains, N.Y., and later went to secretarial school.
On Nov. 8, 1952, she married Henry R. Norgren Jr., who passed away on Sept. 11, 1986. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as the sales manager at Bell Manufacturing Co.
A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she enjoyed gardening, and loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed cooking her Italian recipes for them.
Survivors include two sons, Henry Norgren III of Lewiston and Erik and wife, Maria, of Lewiston; three daughters, Mary Ann and husband, Dennis Cormier, of Auburn, Donna and husband, Ronald Morgan, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Grace and husband, Gerald, of Greene; a brother, Rocco and wife, Liz Sgobbo, of Lady Lake, Fla.; six grandchildren, Jessica Sayer, Henry Norgren IV, Dominic Longley, Angela Cormier, Craig Cormier and Nathanial Longley; and three great-grandchildren.
