AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services department at Central Maine Community College will offer ABCs of Accounting for Small Businesses on three consecutive Mondays, Oct. 29 through Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost of the class is $119 and includes materials.

The course is designed to give the small business owner a “real-life” understanding of the financial side of business, including basic accounting, financial statements, taxes, budgets, forecasts and cash flow. This course is a prerequisite for the QuickBooks course that begins in mid-November.

The instructor is Rose Creps. She has previously worked as a financial consultant and an accounting manager.

The noncredit course is open to anyone currently in business or who is considering starting a business. Registration is open and ongoing, however space is limited.
