President Barack Obama and his administration are the first of either party to self-initiate a trade case against China and its lawless trade policies. That is the real deal. That is the only way to keep good American manufacturing jobs in the U.S.A.

Self-initiating a trade case allows people to keep their jobs and not wait until the jobs have been lost before starting the fight to keep them.

Make no mistake, this country is in a war to keep good-paying manufacturing jobs here.

The Obama administration has been busy pushing the World Trade Organization to hold China accountable for violating trade laws on auto manufacturing, while Mitt Romney has been making millions  selling U.S. jobs overseas.

Obama’s work has resulted in real job opportunities for people here in the River Valley Area where, only a few years ago, mills were laying off hundreds of workers in Rumford and Jay. Now they are hiring 15 to 20, all due to the trade case against China on coated free sheet paper that the administration pushed.

I believe one of the most critical questions that Americans need to ask is, who stands to make millions, maybe billions, of dollars on shipping jobs overseas? Obama or Romney?
