PHILLIPS — The Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the Soil and Water Conservation District are offering an erosion and sediment control practices basic and advanced training session Oct. 31.
It is set for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Community Center, 21 Depot St.
Those attending will learn about state-of-the-art erosion control techniques and ways to save time and money on construction projects as well as become eligible for discounts, expedited DEP permitting and other free educational resources. In addition, they may become DEP-certified in erosion and sediment control practices.
Registration form and $60 fee are due at the Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District, 107 Park St., Farmington, no later than 1 p.m. Oct. 30 to attend the session. Light refreshments and a manual will be provided. Call 778-4279 for more information.
