EAST WILTON — Steven P. Veilleux of Belgrade, general manager of Jarden Plastic Solutions’ East Wilton facility, has been awarded the 2012 Chairman’s Award of Merit.

The award recognizes exceptional individual achievement or performance throughout the company. This award is given annually to five employees, each nominated by their peers. The winners were chosen from a group of 84 nominees.

Veilleux and the four other recipients were presented their awards by Martin Franklin, founder and executive chairman of Jarden Corp., at a luncheon held Oct. 5 at New York City’s 21 Club. Jarden Plastic Solutions is a division of Jarden Corp. of Rye, N.Y.
