I am writing to express gratitude for Rep. Peggy Rotundo, who has consistently pushed back against cuts to programs for senior citizens and their families, including Drugs for the Elderly and MaineCare programs.

She courageously defends programs that are essential for maintaining health and quality of life for senior citizens with limited financial resources who want to be able to remain functional and independent in their homes and communities as long as possible.

Drugs for the Elderly and MaineCare for seniors also helps families who otherwise might have to face difficult choices between working and caring for frail loved ones.

I applaud Peggy Rotundo for standing strong against cuts that hurt senior citizens and their families.
