NEW GLOUCESTER — The New England office of Burns & McDonnell has hired Tushar Meshram as project controls specialist at its office here.

Meshram, a resident of Portland, joins Burns & McDonnell’s Maine office working on the Maine Power Reliability Program, the largest construction project in Maine’s history. Burns & McDonnell serves as program manager on the electric infrastructure improvements project.

Meshram has more than five years of industry experience, most recently working for American Tower Company on a high profile project as a business development intern. Meshram’s duties as project controls specialist will include monitoring and identifying trends related to project cash-flow, analyzing and forecasting risk and interfacing between engineering, procurement and functional area managers on overall budget planning.

Burns & McDonnell, an engineering, architecture and construction management firm, has had a growing presence in Maine since 2007, and started work on the Maine Power Reliability Project in 2008. The New Gloucester office started with five employee-owners and currently employs 70.
