1951 – 2012

TOPSHAM — Rick Steven Ciminello, 61, of Topsham, passed away on Nov. 18. His family was the love of his life. Rick was an active member of the Topsham Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Rick was also a Boston sports enthusiast and lived life to the fullest.

He was born in Bronx, N.Y., on Sept. 20, 1951. He was the son of Nicholas and Mary (Symotiuk) Ciminello. He graduated from Valhalla High School, Class of 1969. He earned his baccalaureate degree in business from Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.

He was retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Canteen Service after faithfully serving 37 years. He received the Veterans Canteen Service Career Achievement Award.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lydia (Paolini) Ciminello; and children; Nicholas and Roseanna Ciminello; his father, Nicholas Ciminello; a sister, Candice; and brother-in-law, Larry Conde; his brother-in-law, Michael Paolini; sister-in-law, RoseMarie Paolini; mother-in-law, Mary Paolini; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary (Symotiuk) Ciminello.
