AUBURN — At 10:45 p.m. a pickup truck struck a utility pole near the corner of Manley Road and Lufkin Street.

Auburn police and fire crews worked to close a portion of Manley Road while a worker from Central Maine Power assessed the leaning pole and wires. There was no power outage.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and taken into custody. The accident remains under investigation.
