LEWISTON —  Kevin Lewis, CEO of Maine Community Health Options in Lewiston, announces that John Holland has joined the organization. MCHO is a not-for-profit, co-op health plan that will provide health insurance to Maine people and small businesses beginning in January 2014. The enrollment start date for the plan is Oct. 1, 2013.

Holland recently joined MCHO as its business and IT project manager. His role is to create the project plan that MCHO will use to develop affordable, high-quality benefits. He has more than 30 years of experience focusing on achieving business results through collaboration in areas including business, health care and insurance.

Holland, who resides in Harpswell, has an MBA from Suffolk University and a BS degree in accounting from Boston College. He also attended courses in project management through George Washington University and effective negotiations at Harvard University. In addition to his book on frequent flier programs, he also authored “The Five Minute MBA — How to Get Employees to Think and Act like Owners.”
