CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Skiers and snowboarders at Sugarloaf are enjoying an ever-expanding array of dining options this season, and the resort welcomes two more vendors this month, with Bob’s Clam Hut and Mountain Waffles opening in the Sugarloaf Base Lodge.
The two new options follow last week’s grand opening of 45 North, a new fine-dining restaurant in the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel.
Bob’s Clam Hut has been a Maine institution since it first opened its doors 57 years ago in Kittery. Bob’s will open for the winter season on Dec. 22.
Mountain Waffles, a staple at many ski resorts around the country, offers convenient, “grab’n go” Liege Belgian Waffles, designed specifically for skiers and riders on the go. Mountain Waffles is currently open in the Narrow Gauge Cafeteria area of the Sugarloaf Base Lodge.
