On Thursday, the North Turner Union Presbyterian Church plans a candlelight prayer service to honor the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims.

The service will be from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Members of the public, including children, are welcome, according to the Rev. Lissa Bradford.

The church is at 58 Howes Corner Road. Attendees will be invited to sign sympathy cards to be sent to the school.

The vigil isn’t designed as a fundraiser.

“We just want to gather our community together to support theirs,” Bradford said.
