PARIS — A meeting of the Board of Selectmen set for Thursday has been canceled due to the predicted snowstorm, as more than a foot of snow is expected to fall by Thursday evening.

Town Manager Amy Bernard said Wednesday that the board will not meet until Jan. 14, the first regular meeting of the new year.

The board was set to discuss the sale of the old fire station on Pine Street, the mailing of foreclosure notices and the language of the board’s charge to the Policy and Procedure Committee. There was also to be a conversation regarding a future meeting of area legislators and municipal leaders on 2013-14 budgets.

Meeting agenda items now include suggested times for each topic, such as 10 minutes for the consideration of warrants and 20 minutes for residents’ comments. Bernard said in an e-mail that the times are estimates, “in hopes to guide the board to keep things moving along.”

Bernard said the town office might be closed Thursday, depending on the weather.
