PARIS — The Oxford County Commission will hold a special meeting Tuesday to authorize the 2013 tax commitment, discuss borrowing money and authorize the purchase of police vehicles.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. the courthouse in South Paris.

The next regular meeting of the commission is Feb. 19, but County Administrator Scott Cole said they wanted to authorize the 2013 tax commitment early, because it’s a prerequisite to applying for a short-term loan to cover expenses before taxes come in.

The commission is also set to discuss projected 2013 cash flow, the undesignated fund balance and purchasing vehicles for the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.

An executive session is scheduled to discuss the job performance of Cole as well as Assistant Administrator Judith Haas. The commission recognized Haas for her outstanding service to the county at the Jan. 22 meeting.
